In this space I am gathering, reflecting, sharing, and cultivating creative interactions with different pieces of my practice as a dancing mother. I am combing through stories, photos, videos, memories, writing, and recordings, and generating self-portraits of my interwoven and overlapping spiral evolutions from girlchild to young woman to artist to invisible mother to new mommy to mothering artist to Mother Mother. The movement has been a part of my life at every ring of the spiral, and I am now arriving at a way to tell this story.
I am truly honored to invite you inside the process of Dancing Mother, of a radiant dream emerging. I have some parts of the Dancing Mother vision mapped out, but much of it, like any new thing, is still to be discovered. Thank you for witnessing this adventure in whichever ways feel good to you.
