This Soils Lab is an exploratory practice to unearth R.A.G.E. I’m arriving to this lab with questions, feelings and ideas. I feel hopeful that this will be a space where we can practice together holding the uncomfortable parts of ourselves, our world, our times.

In this Soils Lab we will be collectively dreaming forward into the autonomous futures of our sacred texts and creations. We will commune with the birth of Kitchen Table: Women of Color Press in 1981 as an entry point into embryonic articulations of what Garden House Press can be. We will joyfully imagine the details of a liberated labor landscape of a mother-sourced, mother-centered enterprise. We will also begin to gather resources for a research archive into the elements of building Garden House Press.

I will be using her trilogy on love as our topic guides and we will explore the dimensions of love using bell hooks’ perspective as inspiration for our own discoveries about love. The first session will be on the first book in the trilogy, All About Love: New Visions.

Dancing Mother is its own world beyond the Creators Portal and is not accessible unless you accept the invitation to become a sacred witness. All creators are welcome to become a sacred witness if they feel the Yes to do so. Some sacred witnesses are in the Creators Circle, and some are not.
