Margaux’s welcome note
Greetings to the Garden!
April is known as National Poetry Writing Month or NaPoWriMo! Many people take the opportunity to challenge themselves to write a poem a day for 30 days. Even if one skips a day the goal is to have 30 new poems by the end of the month. It is ambitious, but achievable.
Often there are writing prompts shared to help get one’s creative juices flowing and Binah and I talked abut offering a “choose your own adventure” list of prompts for the month! There are 30 unique prompts being shared here, but you may also want to find inspiration elsewhere. On the NaPoWriMo Homepage, they will be “featuring a new, optional prompt every day during the month, as well as a bonus “early-bird” prompt that will be posted on March 31. Each day [they’ll] also feature a participant’s work.”
I used to participate annually in this exercise, but I have not yet done so as an active mother (during a pandemic!) Best of luck to all of us as we create!
