Welcome To The Expansion Of Open Dreamscapes
“I shall be a bestselling writer. After Imago, each of my books will be on the bestseller lists of LAT, NYT, PW, WP, etc. My novels will go onto the above lists whether publishers push them hard or not, whether I'm paid a high advance or not, whether I ever win another award or not.
This is my life. I write bestselling novels. My novels go onto the bestseller lists on or shortly after publication. My novels each travel up to the top of the bestseller lists and they reach the top and they stay on top for months (at least two). Each of my novels does this.
So be it! I will find the way to do this. See to it! So be it! See to it!
My books will be read by millions of people!
I will buy a beautiful home in an excellent neighborhood
I will send poor black youngsters to Clarion or other writer's workshops
I will help poor black youngsters broaden their horizons
I will help poor black youngsters go to college
I will get the best of health care for my mother and myself
I will hire a car whenever I want or need to.
I will travel whenever and wherever in the world that I choose
My books will be read by millions of people!
So be it! See to it!”

Greetings & Gratitude, Luminous Creators!
I am starting this love note for the second time now. The first attempt got swallowed up in a tech glitch two days ago, and I’m now reentering this textual communion with a napping Revvy on my left. Wonder and Juju are somewhere downstairs, quiet and content with the snack they just had, and the knowledge that Mommy won’t be interrupting tablet time since she’s deep into her Garden majesties. Bloom is happily en route to the Sunday capoeira roda with his father. The house is quiet, for now.
I invite you to journey with me into our last installation of Welcome Week (which has apparently taken the better part of the month, lol!), Welcome To The Expansion Of Open Dreamscapes. I’m sooooo glad I breathed through the births of all these explorations! So much clarity and vision came through the slowing down, and the honoring of the fullness that spirit was bringing to me. There’s still soooooooooo much I want to share, so much that is still on the way. In the magic of Come As You Are, I have embraced this in how I share my half-baked, still-cooking, works-in-progress creations with you. I celebrate the abundance that these ideas, and dreams bring to me, to us, right now!
In today’s exploration I introduce the Open Dreamscapes discovery sphere inside of the Creator Brilliance portal. I am still in the process of formatting the different dreamscapes for our deeper engagement, but for now, you can get a sense of the dreamscapes that we’ll be pouring into over the summer and in coming seasons. In the video love note I share in more detail about what I am envisioning for the Open Dreamscapes discovery sphere, and why I think this is such a vital collaborative labor as a congregation nurturing abundance consciousness. I also introduce the vision of Soft Living, the first dreamscape that will be opening soon, and the multiple ways this will give us space to practice and deepen into Come As You Are even more.
This weekend I’ve been blessed with the tender shares of mamas in our Garden and mamas in my village. I am witnessing courage and tears, miracles and crises, belly-aching laughter and immense, soul-shattering pain. I am also living inside my own labors, and navigating the sweet, the sour, and the stank too. As I commune with others, and honor the majesty of everyone’s internal brilliance to guide her in the way that she knows to go—I keep coming back to the sacred and essential labors of dreaming.
Mother Lucille’s wisdom, “We cannot create what we can’t imagine,” has been nourishing me all week. It brings me back to the responsibility I have to see, name, initiate, and activate my dreams, no matter how far away, or unrealistic, or expensive, or out of reach they might seem. My dreams are for me to have, to grow, to experiment with, to find language, place, and applications for. My dreams are for me to live into. They feed me. They sustain me. They are real and relevant, right now.
Juju has come and gone for her midday nunu. Revvy has awakened and been nursed back to sleep. Wonder has reported on the status of his next lego robot invention.
Soft music by Ali Farka Touré and Toumani Diabate plays in my headphones. I tend to listen to instrumental music when I’m writing, and also when I’m downloading complex messages from the spirit realms. Our new sound study, Voidal Dream Majesties (listen + download below) was inspired by some of the mama stories I listened to this weekend, and the reminder that our dreaming labors remain central to our survival and our salvation. Even when it seems we are in the worst of times, our freedom to imagine another way is a core part of our superpowers as creators. The Garden is a space to be supported as you discover/recover your sacred dream muscles.
I titled this sound study Voidal Dream Majesties because dreams begin in the darkness, in the invisible spaces of possibility that fill our wombs with the energy to create all things. Dreams begin in the place without words. Dreams precede shape, form, texture, timelines, and budgets. Dreams begin with an energy of Yes, with an opening that can’t be, that won’t be closed. Dreams begin within, and we continue them.
I invite you to dance, write, meditate, bathe, clean, walk, rest, or just breathe inside these long-stretching, rhythmic melodies. The set is almost entirely instrumental, and it gradually builds from very gentle and slow, to more heart-pumping and booty-shaking, and then it slowly comes back down for rest and reflection. I designed this 80-minute collection to be a complete, self-guided movement accompaniment for those who are deepening into the mmC Majestic Muscle Core practices. You are welcome to make it what you need it to be for you, always.
Everything is growing, and I enthusiastically embrace the fluctuations of growth. I thought I would have put at least one of the dreamscapes together by now, but they are still very much to be created. Over our summer season I will be gently, slowly, softly adding to our Open Dreamscapes discovery sphere. Right now, the 6 current dreamscapes—Soft Living, Fertility Abundance Dictionary, Mother Source, Postpartum Bliss, Garden House & Body Majesties— are shared as placeholders (so no, nothing will happen yet when you click on them). You can listen to the Dreaming Out Loud fertility talk that I originally posted in Fertile Majesties, and that is now a sort of welcome message for the Open Dreamscapes space. You are also invited to add book suggestions to our Summer Read-Along because this is the first part of the Soft Living dreamscape. If you have a dreamscape you want to build into our Garden practices, please let me know and let’s begin exploring ways to bring your dreamscape to life!
Activating this dream labor is the source of our abundance cultivation in the Garden. In the nearly 16 months we’ve come to be this congregation, we’ve opened up illuminating stories about being in all stages and phases of a dream. There have been times when a creator’s language as she describes her process with a dream really stays with me, and awakens as a space of discovery where there hadn’t been one before. I’ve heard creators speak of navigating the idea of dreams when it feels like they’ve stopped dreaming altogether. Other creators have spoken of buried dreams, handicapped dreams, and silenced dreams. All this language creates more material for us to lovingly witness and peel back the layers.
Our words, whenever we speak them, are powerful, and they tell so many intricate stories. Our stories are our wealth! These recovered, reclaimed, restored dreams stories are so necessary! So many of the dream labors are messy, ugly, and uncomfortable. It might be difficult to see this awful moment as a part of realizing your dream, but when you share your dreams with us, we are able to reflect the truth and brilliance of your dreams back to you when you are moving through those heavy, dark, and low frequencies. This can be especially nourishing if you are feeling defeated, or overwhelmed, or like nothing you do will ever happen. As your sister-creators we can witness your becoming, and find a multitude of reasons to LOVE UP ON YOU AS YOU ARE! (Where they do that at? IN THE GARDEN!) We can echo your dreams, remind you of your affirmations, share how your vision brings us joy just thinking about it—this happens all the time! We get so hype over other people’s dreams! We be seeing it for you! And then we live inside the possibilities with you, warmed by the radiant glow of your brilliant dreams. It is so nourishing, and healing, and transformative to dream together in these ways.
Sometimes it’s the co-dreaming majesty that we need to make our way back into our sacred dream labors. We need to be reminded that someone else can see this thing too. When the way seems blurry or obstructed or too far away, hearing that someone else remembered our dream, and held it in her heart, and has been cheering us on all the while—this is everything. Dreaming out loud, dreaming in conscious communion with each other, all of this seeds more abundance for everyone.
Revvy is stirring. I’m minutes away from being upended from this naptime-only laptop-on-a-pillow desk situation. Let me move on to the next part of these offerings. There’s always more coming. Thank you for witnessing another birth.
I love you and I celebrate your dreams!
Love,
Binah
Ps…I sent this out in an email like 3 hours ago. Since then I’ve read through it several times. I come back in and fix typos, reword sentences, add clarities…this labor is everlasting…and I love it!
