What's Up With the WhatsApp Groups?
I think I’m a little too excited about my clever title for this post. I’ve been wanting to create a Garden guide to our WhatsApp spaces, Creators Channel and Fertile Majesties, for a while now—and partly so I could have this particular title live on the Creators Portal. Thank you for bearing witness to a dream realized, lol!
The WhatsApp groups were born in the September-turned-Fall 2020 Garden. The intention of these portals is to foster more connection, sharing, interaction, and storytelling for creators who want to engage with each other beyond our live labs, emails, private messages, Creators Portal, and the Creators Shared Diary. Creators are welcome to join one or both groups, and to opt in or out at any time. As with every space in the Garden, creators in the groups are welcome to be as participatory and vocal (or not) as they want to be. There is no monitoring of individual engagement—so please do you!
When sharing in these Garden spaces it’s important to remember that not all creators participate in the WhatsApp groups. Creators Channel and Fertile Majesties are only accessible to creators in the Creators Circle. Each group has a different focus of sharing, and I hope this post clarifies for anyone now or in the future who might be considering whether the WhatsApp portals are for them.
In Creators Channel we create community as a congregation by sharing and witnessing our everyday-life moments as creators:
reminders and updates about live gatherings
minute-long video clips of Movement Labs and mmC Discovery Labs
writing and creativity prompts
virtual group activities
moments, pictures/videos, scenes of everyday life
highlights of new offerings on the Creators Portal
links and recommendations for music, talks, movies, books, projects and other things that inspire and encourage creators
invites to special events we’re hosting, or other cool happenings
voice notes and messages about creator’s lives, questions, journeys, and possibilities
In Fertile Majesties we practice sharing and listening to our sacred fertility stories:
sharing sacred stories about our fertility, mothering, spiritual evolutions, girlhood/womanhood, family histories, healing practices, and more
deep listening and witnessing of each other as we open up our tender, vulnerable, illuminating stories
sharing from our Yes—sharing on our own terms and in our own time
reflecting on and responding to fertility story prompts
peeling back the layers of healing journeys, and inviting other creators to share their sacred rituals and practices too
singing to each other, and sharing sacred stories of these songs too
To join a WhatsApp group, send me a message on WhatsApp letting me know which group/s you want to join. To exit a group simply go to your group settings and choose “leave group.” Please reach out if you need more information. Happy creating and sharing to all!
