In this Soils Lab we will contemplate the different meanings of queerness. bell hooks offers a definition that defines, “queer as [in] being about the self that is at odds with everything around it…” What does that mean to you? How does that resonate with your own definition? We will explore some poetry by Staceyann Chin and Audre Lorde before creating our own (as time permits).
