Transformations Of The Heart
Happy Fabulous & Fertile Friday, Fantastic Creators!
We have so much to celebrate this week! There’s been so much love, expansion, deepening and discovery happening all over the Garden. Everyday I wake up with so much gratitude in my heart for this sacred world we are creating together. THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!!! In all the ways you are, in all the ways you can be, thank you, thank you, thank you! You add to our abundance, simply by being you. THANK YOU!
Today is extra special as we’re celebrating a new creator joining the Garden! Insert jumps, flips, splits, drums, horns, tambourines, confetti, balloons, booty rolls, shimmies and lots of chocolate cake for everyone! Please send your love and hugs from wherever you are on the globe as we welcome the awesome, lovely, and radiant RainMa! We are such a beautiful congregation! Have you visited our Creator Directory lately to witness this bounty and brilliance yourself?
Today’s love note was inspired while dancing and creating the latest offering in our Morning Dances practices, Keep On Movin’. I went into the dance with a bit of heaviness in my heart, and spirit led me to realize it as an opportunity to document for the Garden how I transform the energies of my heart with my own abundant, dancing body. Sometimes it’s in the moments when we are feeling our lowest that we are closest to the awakening that we’ve been sensing and calling forth in our heart.
My activation point was a wild dream that had me all out of sorts when I awoke from it. It involved a traumatic past relationship from over a decade ago, and sometimes when my dreams venture into those memories it feels like I’m being haunted. I felt annoyed, disturbed, surprised, confused (I mean, I’m saying…ten years, right! WHY are you still in my dreams!)—not the way I wanted to start my day! I thought about just avoiding thinking about it—not totally hard to do with a crew of munchkins about to take over my moments anyway. But then, I was like, what is the opening here? What am I being invited to sit with, to process, to move through?
That’s when I heard the classic song by Soul II Soul, Keep On Movin’, in my head and I felt it captured my vibe perfectly. I needed to move through all these uncomfortable emotions, without absorbing the negative frequencies they carried, so that I could access the blessing, the bounty, of my story. If I suppress what I’m feeling, if I pretend like everything is okay, I’m going to miss something essential to my evolution, healing, and creator superpowers. I don’t want to deny myself my own majesty, I thought. I want to go into this moment, with my eyes wide open, and claim what is mine.
My willingness to travel into the shadowy spaces of my heart has evolved through the years. The movement softens the way for what might be turbulent and unsettling terrain. It reminds me that I am not stuck or stranded in those moments. I am here, in this now, and I have the power to shape and articulate what my labors, my creations, and my energies can be. The challenging parts of the story don’t have to weight me down. I can keep moving through my feelings and make space for new narratives to fill my heart.
This is how transformation happens. It is an internal labor, an arriving to the possibility of healing, of surrender, of reclamation, of restoration, of joy, of love, of wholeness—and then feeling for the Yes from there. How do we get ourselves there? There isn’t a singular destination for all of us, rather we are each finding the way by living into who we really feel, and know, and trust ourselves to be. The Garden is a space where we get to be in community with other creators as we learn how to navigate our own vast, layered, and complex ecosystems. It is where we can be lovingly witnessed as we collectively imagine, strategize, experiment, practice, play, and share in the long labors of recovering our hearts and amplifying our joys.
The Morning Dances process is one of the ways I am able to live into this vision. I’m finding my way into a ritual for preparing each Morning Dances share. I change into my cute stretch pants. (Have y’all been checking out my dance outfits? I’m all about these colorful capri stretch pants!) I set the camera up, organize the playlist so the music will flow just right. Shove various toys, underwear, paper scraps, and pillows off the dance floor. Go drink some water because I know we will get to sweating it out soon. Once the space is ready, I give my welcome talk at the beginning of the recording, telling you a little back story of what brings me into the dance today, and what I’m hoping to share with you.
I’m loving making these Morning Dances videos! It brings me so much joy to experience my own transformation of energy and spirit through the movement, and I do truly feel like I’m dancing with you! I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing back from creators who have had a chance to dance along and share their experiences with me. Keep On Movin’ is a nice double-play dance discovery for when you want to really get into your movement flow. We open with a soft groove and then raise the energy. I think you will have so much fun…enjoy!
Our labs this week have been phenomenal, deep, moving, illuminating, and heart-expanding! WE ARE SO BRILLIANT! I invite you to dive into the magic of what we shared in the Creators Shared Diary. Margaux led another amazing poetry workshop and we got to perform our poems in the Open Mic in this week’s Soils Lab. Margaux even had stage lights for us, y’all! And she told us to BRING IT and LEAVE IT ON THE STAGE!! And we did! Margaux is going to send out notes to the group, but in the meantime you can get a sense of some of our journeying in Chapter 48: The Universe Has A Beautiful Imagination. Yesterday’s Movement Lab was DIVINE, literally! We went into the depths and majesties of the divine within, and discovered a new movement practice we’re calling Deep Witnessing. Comb through our captured lines in Chapter 49: Divinity Is Being Present In My Body.
I have been sooooo nourished by exploratory conversations with creators who are designing workshops and shares for the Garden. Each creator is dreaming up something so unique, engaging, and brilliant for our growth, healing, and imagination labors. I’m learning so much through the process of feeling for a way to support bringing these dreams to life. I realize what I also love about these collaborations is that each offering grows a new dimension to what the Garden is and who it can serve. We are such a diverse congregation of creators. It’s so wonderful to be able to dream so deeply in all directions with you. If you are sitting with an idea on your heart of something you want to present, or share, or develop for the Garden, please reach out! The Calendar is open for creators if you want to hold the circle on a Monday, Thursday, or Friday. Also if you’d like to create something to live on the Creators Portal, like our NaPoWriMo Adventure Board that Margaux dreamed up, let me know what you’re thinking and we can explore together what can be!
Speaking of poetry…today is officially the last day of National Poetry Writing Month, but the poem creation continues! And our NaPoWriMo Adventure Board is here to stay! Please keep writing your poems and sharing your creations with the Garden. Our stories, and our poems, are our wealth!
Tomorrow, Saturday 5/1, is our mmC Discovery Lab, and we’ll be expanding on movements birthed in this week’s Movement Lab. We’ll be opening up dances that follow spiral patterns, and considering the energy conversions that become more possible in our womb spaces when we apply the magic of the spiral. We record mmC Majestic Muscle Core sessions to archive the development of this movement practice. I welcome your stories of your experiences! Check out last week’s magical adventure, Starseed Communion.
Please take from these offerings only what you need as a creator, and leave all else behind.
Have a glorious and generative weekend!
I love you & I celebrate you!
Love,
Binah
